Tia's 1st Earrings on her 10th Birthday!

Tia picking out her earrings from the list at Claire's in the Foothills mall. JT looking at the toy store going out of business across the way.

She picked the Crystal sapphire daisy and they just sold the last pair. She "settled" with the pink Crystal rose instead.

Just before Tia got in the hot seat a little girl about 4 years old got her ears pierced. She cried. Tia seemed to get a little nervous after that. A concerned Jonathan looks on.

Getting ready for the big shocker. Supportive Jonathan by her side and Ruth picking out her next pair.

The Claire's technician lined up her ears and marked them with a pen.

Ruth checking her work and calming some nerves. Joshua seems riveted and caught up in the emotion of the moment. Tia elected to have two technicians pierce her ears at the same time so it would be faster. They each lined up on one ear and counted to three and BAM!

Before with no holes in her pretty little ears.

Happy Birthday girl with her new bling bling. Dad is sad that his little princess is growing up too fast. I tried to talk her out of it until she was 21 but it didn't work.
Tia made me this nice sign when I got home from my three week work trip. Wellcome home Dad.

Mischievous Ruth giving Joshua a new dew. I think it's too black and unmanageable. What do you think Grandma?
He looks like Shemp from the three stooges.
This last Thursday we took Tia to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday dinner with our coupons of course. We had fun eating the peanuts and throwing them on the ground. After we ordered our food I started to point out some of the fun things on the wall. After I was done Jonathan started to find some interesting things he saw.
It went like this:
JT - Dad there is a snake on the wall! It was a rattlesnake skin that was mounted.
Dad - yeah buddy that is a big one.
JT - Dad there is a car on the roof!
Dad - That is a cool race car, I wonder how they got it up there.
I looked down to eat some salad.
JT - Dad there's a Bonehead on the wall!
Dad - What?
JT - There's a Bonehead on the wall over there!
I began to giggle and looked in the direction where he was pointing expecting to see a real bonehead.
Dad - Wow Jonathan that is a great description of that cow skull with horns.
JT - Yeah that's a cool bonehead.
