2 Weeks Old

JOSHUA
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, Biblical
Pronounced: JAH-shə-wə (English), JAW-shwə (English)
From the Hebrew name (Yehoshu'a) meaning "YAHWEH is salvation". Joshua was one of the twelve spies sent into Canaan by Moses in the Old Testament. After Moses died Joshua succeeded him as leader of the Israelites. As an English name, Joshua has been in use since the Protestant Reformation.
The name Jesus comes from a Greek translation of the Aramaic short form (Yeshu'a), which was the real name of Jesus.

Joshua's talents so far. Sleep, eat, cry and Poop! We are so proud of his progress. He seems to be blonde up top and brownish/red on the sides with a high hairline. I think he has dark blue eyes. It is hard to tell because when I shine the flashlight in his eyes he seems to not like that. I will try a quicker flash to catch him off gaurd next time and get back to you on his coloring. :)
He is a very good baby so far. We haven't had any jealousy issues until Jonathan had some concerns while sitting on the couch reading with mom;

JT " I don't like Joshua."

Ruth "Well that's not nice because your brother loves you."

Then a long pause.

JT "Joshua needs to go back in your tummy."

Ruth "You can't put him back in my tummy because he is here to stay.",

Long pause.

JT "I love Joshua".

The happy family. Tia has been a great big sister and loves to share her brother with whomever comes to the front door. She is always asking to hold the baby...........until he cries.

Sorry, couldn't get this picture to turn. You'll have to tilt your noggin.

Catching flies.
